Priestly's classic thriller, set in pre WW I Britain, takes us into the comfortable and complacent world of the Birling family; a world which is shattered forever when a police Inspector interrupts their dinner party to investigate the supposed suicide of a young girl. As his questions reveal that each of them was connected to her and may be responsible for her death, they, along with the audience, are forced to examine their moral consciences and way of life.
