Kelly Clarkson was very involved in Champions of Hope's United Day of Service on September 11, 2002. She visited the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC as our representative. Kelly spent a lot of time with the children, taking pictures and signing autographs for them. She also helped us present the Medical Center's Family Library with over 200 donated books, in support of our literacy initiative.
Later in the day, Kelly attended our United Day of Service Ceremony in memory of those killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks on America. She sang several times, and gave a beautiful rendition of the National anthem.
Kelly was very warm and gracious, and we were very proud to have her with us. We predict great things for her, and hope we can work with her again in the future.
